Located in Historic picturesque Virginia City, Nevada. The Old Red Garter offers the widest and most unique collection of western wear ranging from Stetson hats to Lucchese boots, leather and suede jackets, old west styled clothing, from Wah-Maker and Recollections, to new style western clothing, from Scully, Roper, Etc.

Built in 1865, known as the John Gillig Building. (Original Sign still appears on the building “Hardware, Stoves, and Metals”) History says a local Latvian Jewish immigrant Jacob Davis created canvas pants with copper rivets for the local miners. He purchased the canvas tent materials from a German Jewish immigrant Levi Strauss Co. They Co-patented these jeans in 1873, and the “Levi” jeans are still alive today! |
